In September 2024, Overtime had the pleasure of producing a high-impact launch event for King’s Castle, celebrating the grand opening of their newest American-style diner in the heart of Preston.

Working in partnership with our sister company, Influenceable, we brought together an exciting mix of celebrities, influencers, and local talent to create a buzzworthy night that captured the essence of the King’s Castle brand — bold, vibrant, and unforgettable.

Leading the VIP guest list were former world champion boxer Amir Khan and his wife Faryal Makhdoom, joined by popular comedians Tez Ilyas and Shabaz Ali, influencer Rumena Begum, and the team behind the hugely popular Food Review Club — all helping to elevate the event’s social reach and national visibility.

The new venue, located on Church Street in Preston city centre, features a 60-seat layout, a full-size 1950s Chevrolet, and an immersive ‘Walk of Fame’ — a tribute to legendary film and sports stars. Replacing their former Lostock Hall site, the new King’s Castle diner marks a £500,000 investment in bringing next-level dining to the city.

Guests were treated to first tastes from the refreshed menu, featuring signature favourites like the Darwen Donny, Philly Cheesesteak, and the now-iconic Wagyu Pastrami Sandwich — thought to be the UK’s most expensive halal sandwich. Many of these dishes are created in collaboration with Malik Butchers, recently featured on Channel 4’s Aldi’s Next Big Thing.

Overtime handled all aspects of the launch event — from production and creative direction to guest list curation and live social media coverage — while Influenceable leveraged its influencer network to amplify the campaign and drive online engagement before, during, and after the event.

The result? A packed house, strong media buzz, and a powerful moment of brand elevation for King’s Castle.
